This book has minimal illustrations but Rosen has illustrated a poem on every few pages. He does a wonderful job of creating small ink sketched and water colored pictures to create visuals for the poems.

This book would be great for classrooms to expose readers to poetry. This book is designed for readers to be able to just pick up and flip through. It has a variety of poems covering many different types of topics. It opens the world of poetry for a student and exposes them to many well known or unknown poets.
